Pure Joy

The first 25 seconds of this video is pure joy. I've watched it a million times. She is so beautiful and sweet. I turned the video camera screen around so that she could see herself on the little monitor--I can't capture her reaction in words, maybe just genuine sweetness. The second portion is a few minutes later when she was "reading" me one of her favorite books. Listen closely. Before Ellie's surgery she literally had about 20 words. Now, we can't keep track. Everyday I hear five-ten new words. I didn't realize that she had memorized this book until I caught her "reading" it to her baby a few days ago... she is catching up fast!

Dancing Divas

Ellie and her friend Mia are busting a move in this quick video! That is a sucker in Ellie's mouth, probably not the safest decision but I had to get the dancing on tape.

"TREAT!!!"

Halloween was a blast! Ellie's supercool babysitter made a puppy costume for her and she has asked to wear it almost everyday since. We went trick-or-treating with her nanny-sister, Mia, and her cousins Jett and Kai. Ellie led the pack with little interest in the treats themselves and more interest in the process of getting the treats. In fact, she collected a LOT of treats and has not asked for them or even expressed interest in her large stash of goodies. Daddy and I are glad because we have gotten to enjoy most of her hard-earned "TREAT!" (s).
